The Van Peterson story begins in London in the late 1970s with a small stall in Camden Lock Market, where Eric and Lin Van Peterson sold vintage clothes and objects d’art.

The success of this stall inspired them to open an antique shop near Sloane Square, specialising in Art Deco and Art Nouveau ceramics and jewellery.

In 1981, Eric and Lin moved Van Peterson to Walton Street in Chelsea, and began creating their own jewellery designs to sell alongside the antique pieces. These proved extremely popular, and as a result Eric and Lin chose to concentrate on elaborating their own designs, which now make up everything you will see in their store and on the Van Peterson website today.

Taking inspiration from their extensive travels around the world, and interest in gemstones and symbolism, Van Peterson’s jewellery designs strike a fine balance between eclectic and contemporary, making them a firm favourite amongst fashion stylists. Many of Van Peterson’s pieces have been featured in glossy magazines like Harpers Bazaar, Tatler, Elle and Vogue, as well as the fashion pages of major newspapers.

Throughout its thirty years Van Peterson have established themselves as a high end designer jewellery brand, with a loyal client base that includes some famous names like actress Charlize Theron, fashion models Poppy and Cara Delevigne, and music legend Annie Lennox.

Van Peterson’s designs can be viewed at their shop in Battersea and online. A selection of their designs is also available in various boutiques in the UK.
